Trinity Home Care Joins Iowa Health Home Care
Trinity Home Care of Fort Dodge has joined Iowa Health Home Care of Urbandale effective Jan. 1, 2009. Trinity Home Care (THC) will continue to operate under its current name and no changes for customers or referral sources is expected. THC was formerly a department of Trinity Regional Medical Center.
Fort Dodge is the second Iowa Health System affiliate home care department to join Iowa Health Home Care. St. Luke's Home Care in Sioux City joined in 2006. The home care alliances are part of Iowa Health System's efforts to make home care more efficient, while developing "best practice models" in home care throughout the state.
Trinity Home Care has approximately 35 employees and offers nursing, therapies, home care aides and hospice services all in the comfort of patients' homes. THC also operates the newly-opened Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.

Iowa Health Home Care is an affiliate of Iowa Health System and is based in Urbandale. It has been in operation since 1998. Employing more than 500 people, services include nursing, therapies, hospice services (home and Taylor House), palliative care, home medical equipment, infusion, home care aides and companions, telemonitoring, and Lifeline (a personal emergency response system). Most of IHHC's services are offered in the homes of patients and customers.
