Therapy Services
Respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy are available through Iowa Health Home Care. These services allow our patients to recover in the privacy of their home.
Respiratory Therapy
Respiratory therapists (RT) specialize in the assessment and treatment of respiratory and cardiovascular pathologies. These include chronic lung problems (e.g., asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, COPD), and more acute multi-systemic problems. Iowa Health Home Care’s therapists specialize in airway management, mechanical ventilation, and blood acid/base balance. Our RTs work closely with other medical professionals such as physicians, nurses, speech therapists and physical therapists.

Physical Therapy
Physical therapy provides services to individuals to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability. Physical therapy focuses on identifying and maximizing quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, treatment/intervention, habilitation and rehabilitation. Physical therapy involves the interaction between our physical therapists (PT), patients/clients, other healthcare professionals, families and caregivers.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists assist people who have difficulty in achieving a healthy and balanced lifestyle and to enable an inclusive society so that all people can participate to their potential in daily occupations of life.
Speech Therapy
Speech therapists address people's speech production, vocal production, swallowing difficulties and language needs through speech therapy.
