If you have insurance...

We will submit your bill to your insurance company for payment.  However, you are responsible for making sure that your bill is paid in full.  It is also your responsibility to be aware of any exclusions, benefits, co-payments and deductibles your insurance plan may have.  We will ask you for updated insurance information once a month or will verify through Medicaid.

            Medicare Patients

Under Medicare A, you are covered for home health care if you receive services.  Under Medicare B, you will not be asked to pay coinsurance or deductible amounts at the time that you receive your care.  However, after Medicare and any supplemental insurance payments have been received, you would receive a bill for any remaining balance.

We are required to bill Medicare following specific guidelines and procedures, which include:

Asking a series of questions to help us decide whether Medicare should be listed as the
primary or secondary insurance provider. These questions may be asked at multiple visits
to ensure that we have the most current information for you in our files.

We are also required to make sure that any equipment ordered by a physician is medically
necessary.  If Medicare does not consider the equipment medically necessary, you will be
asked to sign a form indicating that you are agreeing to pay for the test or procedure.

Medicaid Patients

If you have Medicaid, you must be eligible for coverage at the time of service and present your current eligibility information.  If your Medicaid card shows that you have additional insurance, you must also present that information at the time of admission.

If you do not have insurance...

Our Financial Counselor can help you to determine if you qualify for any of the following programs:

Title 19 - If you meet the rules for Title 19, the Financial Counselor will direct you to the Department of Human Services to apply for Medicaid.

Financial Assistance - If you are not able to pay for all of your bill, you may qualify for financial assistance.  The amount of assistance you receive will depend on:

·   Household income

·     Number of people living in the household; and

·     Net worth

Payment Arrangements - If you do not qualify for Title 19 or Financial Assistance, you will be asked to make payment arrangements with our billing department.  The amount you pay on a monthly basis will be based on the balance of your bill and the time listed in our guidelines for payment.

Financial Agreement

We provide a financial admission agreement at the time of admit.  Our billing staff can provide you with a cost estimate for your specific services or procedures.  We will work to give you as accurate an estimate as possible.
